This includes planning, designing, implementing, and reporting on program evaluations. Duties of this position include but are not limited to: Designs, plans, and implements high-quality evaluation studies for the assigned programs and services. Designs causal and/or logic models and/or theories of change to frame and design/integrated measurement frameworks for assigned programs and services. Advise on appropriate qualitative and quantitative methodologies to support evaluations. Prepare data collection methods, including surveys. Perform data collection and analysis. Present trends and analytics to internal and external stakeholders, with the intent of improving HPCO programs and services. Prepare program evaluation reports. Translate evaluations into knowledge products that are visual, and easy to apply and communicate. Provides subject matter expertise related to evaluations. Key Qualifications: Current student in a master’s program in public health, program evaluation, epidemiology, anthropology, social sciences, or social services research or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience using qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods approaches to research and evaluation planning, design, implementation, analysis, and reporting. Excellent organizational and time management skills to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in project management, including managing project timelines. Experience working with a variety of stakeholders. HPCO is developing a Centre for Excellence (the Centre) with a goal of fostering excellence in hospice palliative care in Ontario. The Centre will house our existing programs and services for our members including: hospice standards program; hospice accreditation; best practice guides; a quality & impact measurement platform; interest groups; and learning and training programs for hospice staff and volunteers. Additionally, we will explore opportunities to develop new programs and services for our individual and organizational members and to market programs and services outside of Ontario. With the development of the Centre, we are updating our marketing materials and information describing our programs and services. Reporting to the Director, Centre for Excellence and working with the staff team, the student will support marketing communications by: Creating content that aligns with marketing objectives Producing, editing and customizing content for various communications channels, including digital marketing collateral, websites, newsletters and emails Supporting the update of membership renewal materials Position Qualifications: Pursuing a Post-secondary education in English, Creative Writing, Journalism or related field Ability to research and learn about a wide range of topics Excellent teamwork, communication and organizational skills Experience working with content management systems, such as WordPress Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to work with cross functional teams and all management levels Specific interest in the health care sector; knowledge of hospice palliative care is an asset
