target market palliative care sales prospecting hospice marketing collateral marketing marketing planning market segmentation caregiving search engine optimizationOur organization has a virtual opportunity for 1 marketing student to support the development and execution of a marketing plan for our educational offerings. The potential market includes health care provider organizations and associations. All work will be completed virtually.
One of the roles of HPCO is to promote education pertaining to hospice palliative care services for health professionals, volunteers and the general public. To this end, we have developed a new palliative care education program for personal support workers, called PACE for PSWs, to improve skills and caregiving abilities. Additionally, HPCO has developed a Volunteer Training Curriculum that can be used to train volunteers supporting palliative care patients. Both programs are available for use by external organizations for a fee.
· Develop a marketing plan
o Investigate our competitive landscape; perform market segmentation to identify the ideal target market;
o Evaluate our current customer base and make recommendations; review our prospect messaging, make improvement recommendations, and create new outreach content;
o Develop and implement an SEO strategy;
o provide content suggestions and recommendations to increase search visibility;
· Provide support for the development of marketing collateral (for a variety of media) to promote the program (the required collateral will be determined as part of the plan development)
Students will be supervised by a Director. This will include weekly 1:1 meetings to discuss the project. Students will also interact with members of the HPCO team, as needed.
