Students in this postgraduate professional program are interested in gaining experience in all manners of museum and cultural sector work : projects in collection management/registration; education/programming/outreach; interpretive planning; exhibition planning; preparation; curatorial assistance; cultural sector social media and marketing; project planning and research; and/or, working with archival collections . These students are in the final stages of completing eight-months of intensive professional training, including postgraduate courses in: professional practice; project management; collection management; care of collections; education and programming; interpretive writing; exhibition planning and design fundamentals; social media and marketing; and contemporary museum publics and roles. 2025 placements will be conducted full-time in the second half of the winter semester from March 3-April 17, for a total of 250 hours (an average of 36 hours per week over the 7 weeks). There is some flexibility in the timing of the placement project. Students will have finished all other coursework and been coached on professional practice prior to taking up their placements. Supervisors will work with the student to develop a Learning Plan for the placement, including regular check-ins on progress toward the learning objectives the student has set for their experience. Placement supervisors should be seasoned museum/cultural sector professionals willing and able to mentor a postgraduate student. All confirmed employers are expected to interview students before accepting their applications on the Riipen platform. Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on learners from Saskatchenwan Polytechnic to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. International students bring a unique perspective, having experienced the challenges of working in other countries, with a diverse range of skills. They are currently enrolled in an HR Generalist class, poised to apply the latest concepts directly into practice.

My learners are equipped to tackle projects in machine learning and statistical learning, having gained proficiency in Python and R. They have engaged with several hands-on courses covering machine learning, statistical data analysis, SQL and database management, Tableau dashboard creation, data engineering, and big data. I am seeking internship projects that will help them apply their skills as part of their data science master’s program. Please note that learners will register for their internship between May and August 2025. If you wish to start working with them during this period, it would be ideal.

Western University’s Faculty of Engineering offers a unique opportunity for employers to collaborate with third-year Software Engineering students enrolled in SE 3350B: Software Engineering Design I. In this course, students learn to apply the software development life cycle using the Scrum framework, focusing on teamwork, Agile methodologies, and effective communication. Through this experience, learners aim to build skills in project management, problem-solving, and software development while delivering valuable solutions to real-world challenges. Client participating in this experience is expected to maintain regular communication with learners, provide necessary project information, and be present during the final presentation. Constructive feedback will be crucial in helping students refine their work and gain insights into professional practices. Approximately, 40 - 50 hours of commitment throughout the project is needed for feedback and Q&A sessions.

This experience introduces learners to the foundational concepts of clinical, developmental, social, and personality psychology. Participants, primarily first-year university students, will explore how psychological principles can be applied to real-world scenarios. With a focus on understanding human behavior, learners will be equipped to analyze and interpret psychological data, develop insights into human interactions, and propose solutions to behavioral challenges. This knowledge can be applied to projects that require an understanding of human dynamics and behavior patterns.
