In 2019, RBC Future Launch and Riipen launched a partnership with the goal of increasing access to high-impact work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities for Canadian post-secondary students Our shared mission: to help prepare learners, particularly those from underserved communities, for the Future of Work. By the end of 2022, the RBC-Riipen partnership has delivered over 27,000 online WIL experiences, to a wide diversity of learners and educational partners across Canada with the potential of delivering over 250,000 by 2026.

Spring 2025 Digital Health Capstone Project

We are excited to announce that a new group of Digital Health Graduate Certificate students at Mohawk College are seeking potential projects for their Capstone course starting in the spring (May 2025)! The Capstone projects will be completed in groups of 2 to 4 students over two semesters starting in the spring semester (May 2025) and concluding at the end of the fall semester (December 2025). The spring course will focus on students choosing a project, collecting requirements, formulating a design, doing some project planning and building a very rudimentary prototype system. During the fall semester, students will complete the implementation, test and deploy their final projects.

Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners in this program/experience will: 1. Describe the key concepts and processes used in the study of consumer behavior to explain why consumers make purchases. 2. Identify key ethical and social responsibility issues associated with marketing that impacts consumer behaviour. 3. Determine the factors that influence the spread of a new idea. 4. Explain how diffusion of innovation manifests itself in different ways in various cultures. 5. Analyze current trends in consumer behaviour. 6. Apply current trends in consumer behaviour to the marketing of a product or service. 7. Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs and their attempts to influence consumer behaviour. 8. Construct profiles of target market segments to identify which consumer groups are most likely to purchase a product. 9. Formulate effective marketing strategies to influence consumer decision-making. 10. Create a project to assess the consumer decision-making process.

By engaging in practical work, learners will enhance their understanding of industry operations and gain valuable insights into their professional strengths and areas for improvement.

Data Science and Analytics (University of Calgary)
My learners are equipped to tackle projects in machine learning and statistical learning, having gained proficiency in Python and R. They have engaged with several hands-on courses covering machine learning, statistical data analysis, SQL and database management, Tableau dashboard creation, data engineering, and big data. I am seeking internship projects that will help them apply their skills as part of their data science master’s program. Please note that learners will register for their internship between May and August 2025. If you wish to start working with them during this period, it would be ideal.
Adapted Physical Activity Program Design (Acadia University)
