We are looking for students that can help amplify what makes us unique and create better messaging for our products and services.
HPCO is developing a Centre for Excellence (the Centre) with a goal of fostering excellence in hospice palliative care in Ontario. The Centre will house our existing programs and services for our members including: hospice standards program; hospice accreditation; best practice guides; a quality & impact measurement platform; interest groups; and learning and training programs for hospice staff and volunteers. Additionally, we will explore opportunities to develop new programs and services for our individual and organizational members and to market programs and services outside of Ontario.
With the development of the Centre, we are updating our marketing materials and information describing our programs and services. Reporting to the Director, Centre for Excellence and working with the staff team, the student will support marketing communications by:
- Creating content that aligns with marketing objectives
- Producing, editing and customizing content for various communications channels, including digital marketing collateral, websites, newsletters and emails
- Supporting the update of membership renewal materials
Position Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Post-secondary education in English, Creative Writing, Journalism or related field
- Ability to research and learn about a wide range of topics
- Excellent teamwork, communication and organizational skills
- Experience working with content management systems, such as WordPress
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work with cross functional teams and all management levels
- Specific interest in the health care sector; knowledge of hospice palliative care is an asset
Students will report to the Director, Centre for Excellence and meet 1:1 weekly. Students will also work closely with members of the staff team.
