Project Scope eSight Corporation is in a growth phase that requires additional capital to assist in addressing the needs of the market. We are targeting and taking priority on acquiring non-dilutive financing for the Company. This project will include: Identification and calculation of total address market as it relates to certain verticals and geographies Identification of net economic benefit achieved for the low vision community Modeling of key revenue and cost drivers in the total addressable market Creation of PowerPoint presentation outlining and presenting the information gathered above Objective After the completion of the project, the information and work prepared by the team will be used for application to be presented for private investors as well as for commercial lenders and government agencies.

About the project eSight corp. is investing in the R&D process for the development of the next generation eSight device to add to the current product portfolio. We are planning to optimize the best VR software features/AI optimization for the newly designed form factor device. The software features will need to be properly designed, coded, tested on subjects, analyzed, and presented to the management for implementation budget and plan. The goal for the Mitacs project is for the student to help lead / improve the imaging processing algorithms for eSight corporation involving distortion detection and correction, retinal remapping, Amsler Grid, FDT, sectional magnification and do visual acuity checks for our patients. This involves designing and programming low latency video pipeline architectures and algorithms using, leveraging the best imaging libraries out there and providing the product team a tool for subject testing. The results will be analyzed and used in support of a business proposal to management. Required expertise/ skills- max 200 words The candidate should have knowledge and experience in these areas preferred but not essential: · Fundamentals concepts in graphics– image filtering, anti-aliasing, coordinate axes transformations, etc. · Image processing tools and solutions and software algorithms · Basic Algorithms for computer vision · S/W development ● Example algorithms include scaling, tone mapping, HDR, denoising, detail/contrast enhancement, color management, dithering, warping, etc. The candidate will be incorporating user feedback from testing to enhance the system and the user experience. The candidate will be working closely with the R&D and Product team on regular check points, as well as independently carry out tasks to meet deadlines.
Machine Learning Image Processing- AI work
Software Imaging Intern - The student will help lead / improve the imaging processing algorithms for eSight corporation involving retinal remapping, Amsler Grid, FDT, sectional magnification and do visual acuity checks for our patients to name a few. This involves designing and programming low latency video pipeline architectures and algorithms using the Android 11 OS and leveraging the best imaging libraries out there. Some OCR work will be required as well.
International Business Development
eSight is looking for a committed, deadline-driven International Business Development Intern to join our International Growth team (sales). They will be supporting eSight’s international sales expansion in France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. The International Business Development Intern will complete all tasks assigned by the manager, which may include conducting market research, identifying business opportunities, managing email campaigns, generating sales leads, making cold calls, participating in meetings, and assisting the International Sales department wherever possible. The ideal candidate is driven, adaptable, and able to take work unsupervised when required. To be successful as an International Business Development Intern, the candidate should be willing to learn as much about the company as possible and be able to spot opportunities that have been overlooked by others. Outstanding Interns are problem solvers who know the value of building lasting, professional relationships with clients. This position is for the Fall term (September – December 2021), and requires partial office presence in our Toronto office . eSight is carefully monitoring the changing situation with COVID and is operating safely as per provincial and federal regulations for essential business. Requirements : Enrolled in an undergraduate business degree. Bilingual in English and International French, where Native French communication (written and verbal) is highly preferred. Systems Software Development Intern
We are looking to have students identify and evaluate new software applications and technologies to eSight's needs. The primary focus of the student will be: ● Evaluate, develop, implement, test updates to eSight’s internal operations management software platform (in-house ERP system). ● Ensure platform functions within acceptable time, load and cost limits ● Create front end dashboards / administrator tools ● Work with stakeholders to deliver best in class solutions to the current system architecture ● Recommend strategy and source code management ● Recommend integration strategies with different business systems including working use of leading integration tools Skills and Competencies that will be valued: ● At least 2nd year in Computer Science or Software Engineering. ● Experience in programming languages using Java, Python and/or C++ ● Familiarity with cloud-based development environments. Microservices architecture is a big plus. ● Self-starter, highly motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills. ● Enthusiasm for software and hardware development and a willingness to learn.
