Thermofluid 3 with heat transfer

Student group(s) will review and understand the system/concept/expectation, review literature, develop appropriate models for the thermodynamic/heat transfer devices. If necessary, they will evaluate and assess the components and features of the system to suggest and develop alternative, cost-effective, and efficient models. In groups of max 4 students, 3rd/4th-year students in Mechanical Engineering will spend in total 35 hours each student working with your company to develop, analyze, evaluate, model and/or design concept of interest.
Entrepreneurial Finance

Beginning in September 2021, teams of student consultants at UPEI will assist your organization in exploring the dynamic challenges faced in securing financial backing to support start-up development, and growth. Students have a strong background on the evolution of entrepreneurial companies (emphasizing the dynamic nature of issues confronting these firms) and are able to the financial factors that affect entrepreneurial firms at various stages through to the exit decision. They will provide you with recommendations and alternatives to help your company and your clients reach their goals. Let the students come up with creative recommendations and a professional plan!
Marketing Research

The goal of the marketing research is to explore the role of research in marketing decision making, the development of research questions, choosing research designs to obtain the necessary information, and interpretation of research results are discussed. The emphasis is placed on the nature and scope of marketing research methods, the development and assessment of measures, the steps and principles involved in gathering and analyzing data, and interpretation of the research results to help in marketing decisions. The students are expected to conduct and evaluate different stages of a marketing research project. My objective with this project is to give each student “hands-on experience” working on a marketing research problem from your company. I thank you in advance for your cooperation. The students will be learning how to managing the Research Process starting with a response to Request for Proposal (RFP) from your company.
Integrated Marketing Communications

This course provides students with a detailed examination of the development, execution, and assessment of advertising campaigns. It is designed to offer insights into the process as well as offer an extended opportunity to integrate and apply the principles acquired. Students will examine advertising and other tools of promotion as well as provide an overview of the fundamentals of the promotion aspect of marketing strategy. Students will exhibit promotional strategy using various promotion tools including Advertising, Publicity, Social Media and Sales Promotion.

Software Hackathon for Student Society

The School of Mathematical and Computational Science Society (SMCS Society) is a student-run organization that focuses on providing a welcoming environment to all the students of UPEI, usually those who are pursuing a major associated with SMCS. For this competition, we are looking for an organization to provide our student with a realistic business or software problem. This will be a one day event in teams of 3-6. The problem must have an aspect for all levels of programming skilll.
