World Peace Now MVP: Outreach and Fundraising
This project has a budget of 1.37M USD to bring about lasting world peace within 5 years. We are building a project plan, planning how we engage with the community, designing messaging, graphics and applications. How can we best use this money to bring about the project's goal? We need to build a social networking presence and look for funding for our for profit, free, open source World Peace Now. You will be working with the whole team and especially the project manager. We will look at a number of fundraising options. Three individual positions available The plan is to build in an iterative and agile way, demonstrating progress on a weekly basis over an 8 week duration. The whole development process will be very creative, exploratory, evolutionary and interactive with one to two Zoom calls per week. This World Peace Now MVP project will be the first phase and then we will have the World Peace Now Launch project to follow it in another 8 week stint. Requirements Being able to work in a team is a must. Attention to detail is a must. Use of social networking tools is definitely an advantage. Some experience writing promotional materials like press releases or one-pagers Are you a strategic thinker, able to find a suitable opportunities We will use Google Drive Docs and Sheets extensively. See the current World Peace Now folder but there's nothing much there yet. When you come to the interview make sure you have already signed up to Linear , Google , LastPass , Zoom , Slack using your own Gmail/email address. You will need to tell us what this is. Wellbeing This is a short and rapid project. Being able to flag difficulties quickly is vital for success. Team and individual wellbeing is paramount. We aim to have zero stress in this project by us all flagging potentially stressful situations early and quickly, and creating a relaxed and stress-free work environment. Emotional awareness, emotional intelligence and authenticity: listening to our gut reactions and feelings will help us recognise when we are getting stressed. Part-Time Outreach Intern
As a Riipen Outreach Intern , you will work with the Employer Partnerships team helping Riipen achieve its mission of ending graduate underemployment. Your goal will be to call and educate prospective companies and non-profits about our platform to connect with educational institutions and students on virtual projects and internships. You’ll provide critical support enabling Riipen to reach wider audiences. In addition to learning and executing sales, you will gain a broad understanding of operations at a tech startup and using our tech stack. Tools used will include but are not limited to Hubspot CRM, Slack, and the Google suite. You will develop both qualitative and technical skills. Responsibilities: Execute sales strategies by conducting innovative and team-directed outreach Schedule discovery conversations for the other team members Accurately and consistently record activity and contact information in HubSpot (Riipen’s CRM) Commitment : 20 hours a week over the 4-week period. * Number of individual students required: up to 10 students * Number of students required to work in a team: N/A * For the candidates that would like to continue working for Riipen and develop further skills, we can provide additional Level Up projects upon successful completion of this project.
MiTravel - Content Marketing
THE PROJECT We are looking for a content strategy to further increase customer awareness of MiTravel which can be implement during the course of the VFC Intrapreneurship Program. The main goal of the content strategy is to better capture our avid group travel planners’ attention and increases their interest in becoming an early user of the MiTravel Planning Board, through creating engaging, entertaining and educational content including (but not limited to) blog posts, newsletter, social media and etc. Selected students will have the opportunity to take the lead on this project from concept to creation, with ongoing support and mentorship from the Founder & CEO. You will also work closely with our Market Researcher & Lead Content Writer throughout your term. To ensure the successful delivery of this project, we outline some key tasks (but not limited to) which selected students will perform: Gain a better understanding of what MiTravel is as a company and platform, and identify a tailored content strategy that will successfully engage with our group travel planner demographic. Conduct preliminary primary and secondary market research to strengthen your understanding of the group travel planner demographic, and assess best practices of what engages them and makes them want to sign-up and become an early user of the platform Work collaboratively with the group of selected students and our Founder & CEO to develop strategies that will improve our online and offline presence, grow our mailing list sign-up and increase conversion rates, and recommend relevant programs, tools, and methods of engagement to consider Finalize and consolidate a content strategy plan with a creative, compelling and engaging marketing copy that successfully targets the group travel planner market THE CANDIDATES You are an ambitious, entrepreneurial-driven student looking to build a career in content writing, social media or product marketing. Full of creative ideas, you are known as the go-to person when it comes to brainstorming and executing fun content ideas. Market Expansion for Student Volunteer Program
OneProsper International recently launched the English Learning Buddy program, which is a 10 week volunteer program for high school students in Canada. The mission of the program is girls educating girls. Volunteers are paired with students in India from low income families. Volunteers meet once per week to help their students practice their spoken English skills. After the completion of the 10 week program, volunteers receive a certificate and volunteer service hours. PROJECT SCOPE Be part of this exciting project that will create an impact on the future of our nations. Today emerging technologies are confusing and becoming more complex day by day. Governments both in the United States, Canada as well as in leading countries across the world are trying to understand the impact of technology and the best way to manage this change. Congressional and Parliamentary hearings with technology leaders, industry experts, and thought leaders are common in helping understand the what, why, and how of the future impact of technology on the world. Our scope is to help contribute to this as an education provider and facilitator. What is the Project? The Internet of Value Guide for Congresspeople, Lawmakers & Legislators will be a body of knowledge with various parts to it. This will include written content, podcast, video content, and learning resources. Imagine someone wanting to know everything about the role of the Internet of Value on Government, this resource library strives to be the best there is. The project is to create a body of knowledge that is multi-faceted and will include three major components. - Video Interviews Interviews will be conducted with experts across technology, banking, finance domains to understand what innovative technologies are upcoming and how will they impact the world. The task is to reach out to identify experts, reach out to them, and request interviews over Zoom. Interviews will be conducted by Ian Khan. The task may also include basic video editing and cleanup. - Podcast Recorded video interviews will be converted to an audio file format and posted to our podcast hosting service. The task will include file conversion, thumbnail art creation and upload. - Written Interviews Blog Video interviews will be transcribed using Rev.com and will be converted to article format and posted on our blog. The task will include managing this process of conversion and posting. - Online Summit The video interviews will also be posted on a new website and converted into a Summit Format. The scope will comprise of uploading content to the website, creating relevant tags, uploading any supporting images.
