Psychology Placements
Does your organization have a psychology research or clinical counselling area in which you need the support of psychology students? Bring on our students from the University of Winnipeg's Psychology Department to be your virtual interns! Our students have specialized in: physiological psychology, perception, learning, cognition, developmental psychology, personality, social psychology, and abnormal psychology. Students in this program have emerged with a sound understanding of the richness and complexity of human beings, with a broad range of competencies (e.g., spoken and written communication skills, critical thinking, quantitative abilities), and with an appreciation of how people can be understood scientifically. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, these placements may largely occur virtually.
Criminal Justice Research Field Placement
CJ 4800
Looking to elevate your organization and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from the University of Winnipeg to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one main project over the course of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. What unfulfilled research needs does your agency have? In this project, a team of students in the Master of Art Criminal Justice program will help your organization conduct research (from open, public sources) that supports problem-solving challenges across the Canadian criminal justice system.
