HBA Field Projects
Ivey Field Project is a capstone course which examines several functional areas of business (i.e. new product launches, modifying operational processes or even the need for a structured employee recruitment strategy). There will be a team of six students dedicated to doing over 600 hours of strategic consulting on the project. The team will work closely with the client contact or an assigned senior executive in the company who will provide insights, information and details producing a comprehensive project result. The team will undertake primary and secondary research and as such may need some direction internally. Completion of the project includes delivery of a final written report and presentation to the client. In order for companies to submit an official application for the HBA Field Project, please submit through the following link: https://www.ivey.uwo.ca/ifp/apply-now/

Students work in teams with a client to identify and scope a strategic issue, opportunity, challenge, or problem and develop solutions that will contribute to the success of the organization. Clients and projects are developed and scoped at a high level to determine their fit with the student groups and appropriate timeline for participation (July/August). Organizations are not limited and are able to submit proposals in strategy, sales, marketing, data analysis and operational planning. Students may be eligible to apply for a research project elective credit by submitting an application to the academic director. Given that the projects are outside or students regular schedule curriculum and an additional engagement, this would require organizations to contribute x dollars in order to participate in the project.
