Graphic Design and Website Development Associate

The student is responsible for helping us grow our brand presence through graphic design and website development. We coach people 1-1 in the areas of Personal Insight, Career Transition, and Executive Coaching. Topics vary and include things like imposter syndrome, change, team cohesion, and leadership development. This will be part one of the brand strategy. Deliverables to be completed: 1. Website design We use Squarespace to update our website. For this project we would like support updating and enhancing the content for our company to make it more visually appealing, to have text that grabs peoples attention, to ensure consistency in website text, colours, and fonts and more. Use of communication skills will be highly valuable for this portion of the project. 2. Graphic design Ideally the student will be able to design and create some graphics for promotional use for our company. This will be for marketing brochures, business cards, electronic materials, website content, and more. 3. Topics vary and include things like imposter syndrome, change, team cohesion, and leadership development. This will be part one of the marketing strategy initiative. Deliverables to be completed: 1. Business development: grow presence in target market by enrolling at least two more corporate clients to our roster a. Establish a clear definition of the firm’s target market utilizing analysis tools including but not limited to: SWOT, Google keyword searches…. And providing the research results in a clearly formatted way back to our company. b. Research industries where there has been success in coaching and find viable companies that would use our services in the greater Vancouver area. This includes people within previous roles that had success with coaching. c. Develop strategies to communicate with individual clients, including language, appropriate method of communication and how to relate to the client. d. Establish a clear client management process once someone has expressed interest in coaching services that feeds into existing process and is enhanced to best service that market. For instance, create a customizable email template recruiting someone to mailing list and then add them to the mailing list. e. Enroll a minimum of 10 corporate coaching clients (these will be the Executive coaching clients I serve) who are viable leads (this includes having conversations and getting them to a place to speak with Isabelle). 2. Brand presence and engagement: use existing podcast platform to create more awareness and engagement with our coaching services a. Research ways to promote current podcast. b. Find viable guests for upcoming seasons who match target audience, this means they could convert into a lead as a client in the future (these will be the individual clients I serve). c. Get 100 new followers to the podcast on Apple, Google or Spotify. 3. SEO optimization and engagement: get company higher in ranks on Google searches and find creative ways to engage new market in partnership opportunities a. Research key words that align with the work of our company that can be included in blog posts, on website content or in other ways that will draw visibility. b. Find creative ways to increase testimonial count to bump our company to the top of search results. For instance, this could come in the form of offering coaching sessions to individuals in local organizations who in exchange for our time provide testimonials on Google. c. Create partnerships with local associations and/or non-profits. This could come in the form of offering discounted coaching services, or providing presentations on some of our speaking topics. 4. Grant and Funding Associate

The primary focus of this project is to research and apply for grant, and other government funding. The student will be responsible for 1- researching applicable funding that our company would be eligible for 2- applying for funding Much government funding goes to waste each year because people do not spend time or know about the money available to support businesses. As a small business we suspect there are opportunities to utilize some of this and would like the support of a student to help us understand what is out there and make some applications for funding. The primary purposes of funding: -hire additional students -hire other support workers -get contractor support such as a website designer to give the company a facelift -invest in growth strategies Students will be successful in this project by measuring the number of applicable grants we are eligible for that have been researched, then how many have been applied for and finally how many we have been successful in receiving. What messaging should we use? And where do we target new clients? What outlets are going to bring the most attention to our company and brand? What opportunities do we have to create greater brand awareness? Part two is focused on the brand of our company. Students will be asked to accomplish the following: take and update images for the company align social media presences with website and any other outward-facing messaging create brand aligned content such as templates and outreach strategies Students will be successful in this project by measuring the before and after outreach and presence they create during this project and showing consistency across all platforms. So far we have grown organically, but this is an opportunity to intentionally strategize about how to grow a brand beyond that and cultivate new opportunities. multiple students will be hired to complete this project.

This podcast focuses on women entrepreneurship and women in business. Students will be asked to accomplish the following: get the podcast promoted find partnership opportunities look at ways to monetize the podcast do outreach for the podcast create a strategy about entering and continuing in the podcast market Upload podcast to Buzzsprout and distribute to channels Share episodes on social platforms Share the recorded episodes with season 1 guests to promote on their platforms Liaise with guests and listenership to increase engagement Provide actionable recommendations on increasing listenership Edit video and share to social sites Find creative ways to promote and expand listenership Possibly: Edit the recorded audio for final publication Some of the main questions we’d like students to help us answer for the podcast are the following: How should we promote our podcast? What channels should we utilize? How do we drive engagement to our website? and to the podcast platforms? Are there partnership opportunities available to promote the podcast?
