content creation marketing data analysis social media strategy social media branding leadershipOur marketing and social media intern will be given the opportunity to shape the branding of our organization, while also playing a key role in delivering our social media strategy for the year 2023/2024. The intern will work closely with the leadership team.
Based on our goals, we are looking for the student to work on the following:
- Taking lead on the branding of YIC and our social media strategy, in relation to sharing the word of our summer contest, doing the same for potential new programs, creating content that brings value to our audience of young social innovators, and analyzing data to guide our approach
- Keeping active various accounts related to YIC’s online presence, including our Instagram and Facebook accounts (here), as well as our mailing list and website (youthimpactchallenge.com)
- Reaching out to and working with a wide variety of stakeholders, such as organizing partners, mentors, judges, and educational institutions, helping to also keep track of folks we have or have not reached out to, with organizational competency a key part of this role
- Actively exploring new ways to grow our audience, both in terms of social media reach, and also in terms of participation in our summer challenge and other programs that may be attempted
Students will work closely with the Executive Director and the Director of Digital Strategy, Communications and Partnerships who can guide/support the project.
