The Digital Marketing Specialist must be proficient in tasks such as content strategy, social media management, and must be experienced in search engine marketing duties such as managing SEM campaigns on Google Adwords, Facebook Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
This role will involve working closely with the Operations Manager on a weekly basis. The Digital Marketing Specialist will have the opportunity to apply their skills to solve various “real world” challenges faced by the company and have the opportunity to become a valuable team player over a 3 month timeframe (Flexible start and end date, and flexible hours)..

Core responsibilities
1. Social Media Management
i. Maintain the company’s Facebook, Twitter, and other social media presence in line with our Social Media Marketing Strategy
ii. Execute the company’s Digital Marketing plan to increase engagement and following on all social media platforms with support from the Operations Manager
iii. Complete tasks planned for each week consistently, with minimal carry over to future weeks
iv. Provide written feedback on our Social Media Marketing Strategy and Digital Marketing Plan based on a review of all social media channels and websites
2. Search Engine Marketing
i. Collaborate with the Operations Manager to determine the company’s digital marketing needs
ii. Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns on Facebook Ads & Google Adwords
iii. Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
iv. Manage campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies
v. Optimize landing pages for search engine marketing
Compensation
The Digital Marketing Specialist will be hired as an independent contractor on a 12-week contract (start date is flexible to meet your program needs).
Compensation will consist of an hourly rate payable no later than 2 weeks after the end of each 4 week period (compensation will be discussed in more detail at the time of hiring).
Hours Worked
Given the start-up feel of our organization, there may be variation in the hours worked from week to week.
The Digital Marketing Specialist will attempt to adapt to these flexible work hours.
The Digital Marketing Specialist will be asked to work from home. It is essential to stay disciplined and ask for additional structure if required in order to succeed in this role. It is expected that successful performance in this role will require part-time hours (10 hours/week on average).
