We would like to collaborate with students to conduct accessibility tests on our website.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Conducting background research on disabilities and methods of evaluating accessibility.
  • Conducting accessibility tests remotel.
  • Analyzing and reporting the metrics / results of the tests.
  • Recommending website improvements based on findings.
  • Implementing suggested accessibility measures.
Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Understanding of different disabilities and factors that affect a website’s accessibility
  • Understanding of our accessibility testing procedure
  • Analysis of accessibility testing results
  • Recommending and implementing improvements for our website

Final deliverables should include:

  • A final report.
  • A 10-minute presentation.
Mentorship

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Our website, products and services
  • Our current understanding of our website’s accessibility features
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
