Details

The main goal of creating a prototype of a new feminine hygiene product is to design and develop a physical model that represents the product's features and specifications. This allows students to test and refine the product design, gather feedback from potential users, and evaluate its overall effectiveness and quality. The ultimate aim is to create a product that addresses the needs and preferences of menstruating women and provides a comfortable, effective, and sustainable solution.

Deliverables
  1. Choose a prototyping method: Students would need to choose a prototyping method that best suits the product design and budget. This could include 3D printing, mold making, sewing, or other methods that allow for the creation of physical models.
  2. Create a design concept: Students would need to create a design concept that captures the product's key features and specifications. This could include sketches, drawings, or digital renderings that communicate the product's overall look and feel.
  3. Build the prototype: Using the chosen prototyping method, students would need to build the physical prototype of the product. This could involve assembling different components and testing the prototype for fit, comfort, and functionality.
  4. Test and refine the prototype: Students would need to test the prototype with a sample of the target audience to gather feedback on its usability, effectiveness, and comfort. Based on the feedback, they would need to refine the prototype.
Mentorship

Students will work closely with CEO, Lin Ferguson who is supervising and available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.
