The Strategic Business Solutions Capstone is a pivotal component of the Alberta School of Business MBA program, designed to bridge academic learning with real-world application. MBA students, equipped with a diverse set of skills in business frameworks, analytical tools, and decision-making processes, collaborate with sponsor organizations to tackle strategic challenges. Through this experience, students apply their cross-functional knowledge to deliver actionable insights and recommendations, enhancing both their educational journey and the strategic capabilities of the participating organizations.
Winter 2025 4th Year Nursing Student Leadership Experience - Mentors/Projects Sought

Our 4th year nursing students take their senior nursing leadership course in either their last or second last term before graduation. The leaders, who we call mentors, that work with our students can expect our students to come to your organization with: a solid knowledge in nursing and healthcare strong critical thinking and analytical skills introductory statistics and research skills solid understand of the social determinants of health ability to support a diverse number of projects and initiatives If there are specific learner capabilities required, such as speaking a particularly language, or skills with video editing, this is something that we can try and accommodate.
Business Analytics Consulting Project

Beginning in January, a team of 3-4 Student Consultants will dedicate 400+ hours working as a consulting team for your organization. They are in their 4th year of the Operations Management program at the Alberta School of Business. Their expertise is in data analytics and operations management. Based on the information and goals you provide, the group will develop solutions and recommendations to solve your analytical challenge. This is a paid opportunity with a cost estimated between $5000 and $7000 (per team). The fee can be waived for a non-profit organization.
Consumer Behavior (Marketing + Psychology class) - Fall 2024

Consumer Behavior is a 3rd year undergraduate marketing course at the University of Alberta's School of Business, one of the top 5 business schools in Canada. Students will each work 15–25 hours throughout the fall semester, in groups of 4–5, on an applied consumer behavior project, guided by your organizational goals and priorities. Students have already taken introductory marketing courses; this course focuses on the deeper psychological factors influencing consumer behavior, and how those factors are used by marketers. Course topics include: Attention and Perception Motivation and Goals Judgment and Decision Making Attitudes and Persuasion Social Influence Choice Architecture and Nudges How Things Spread Targeting and Psychographics Artificial intelligence
