The IT Capstone project will involve design and testing of data analysis and application development tools. During this experience, students will have individual tasks and elements of team work integrated with real problems in the area of databases, visualization, front and back end development. Students will develop new skills in information technology and introduce new ideas that will be valuable in a professional network. The topics are related to conventional and renewable energy and environmental sustainability only.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

The project will take place at Concordia University of Edmonton and will be co-supervised by Dr. Nasim Hajari and Dr Serg Ishutov. Upon completion of the capstone project, it is expected that students will have the technical knowledge, practical skills and understanding of the app development and implementation as well as integration of databases into apps.
