Application Development : Virtual Internship

Our organization is able to offer a virtual internship opportunity for computer science students or teams. The primary focus for the student will be: create a web based database for our customers to securely view and download their images and videos, easily share them on the social media. Application Development - By checking the third party app we use at the moment, the developer can understand our needs. The application has to be mobile and PC friendly and use OBS video recording system. The new app can be linked to our main web site. Our company's branches have their own accounts to upload customer's material The admin staff have access to all branch sites from their accounts Analysis of existing software and implementing new features integration. Finding the best server and cloud options for our corporation Our goal at the end of this experience is: Fully functioning application under our brand, works similar to the one we use. Software Architecture Development - solutions to our architecture issue to ensure optimal performance and sustainability. Application Programming - redesign an interface and finalize our branded application Lifecycle Analysis - optimize our development systems and procedures. Open Source Software Management - develop a set of tools to use existing open source software for video recordings Database Analysis - help us improve our data storage and querying. Corporate Management Software Development

We have been using 3 different web platforms using 3 different servers. The proposed project would be developing upgraded platforms and add more features to these platforms for better user experience and enhanced business management. The project can be broken down to 3 component 1st Component - Live streaming and picture / video posting (VOD) for UC Baby clients. We use 3rd party's platform for this purpose at the moment. www.Babyflix.net. Every UC Baby location has an account with BabyFlix. They open a client account and get a assigned ID number which is used for live streaming their ultrasound sessions or uploading their baby pictures or ultrasound videos. The clients can view them on their mobile platform or computers, share on social media, download the image and continue uploading their baby pictures after their babies arrive. 2nd Component - Corporate Franchise management platform. All UC Baby locations have different login option, management team has an admin account to control all accounts and make any changes when needed . The franchise owners book their client's appointments, send appointment reminders, invoices, automated thank you messages from this platform. Also our inventories, supplies, supply orders by franchisees and their invoices, audits, customer database are managed from this platform. 3rd Component - Main web site www.ucbaby.ca . The site needs to be upgraded with an online appointment booking options for the clients. The text message communications between interested clients and their selected UC Baby locations needs to be added. The project is planned to merge all 3 components under one corporate web site and handled from one URL.

Multi-media Graphics & 2D/3D Animation Internship

We’re looking for graphic developers with animation and character creation experience to create material for our multi media sites. We offer ultrasound services for the pregnant mothers and obtain pictures and videos of their babies with using advanced ultrasound technologies. We want to develop a digital baby character inspired by our ultrasound images. The character would be a baby representing the life inside the womb. The created character would be our company's mascot and going to be used in the series of many short videos. These video series would show the activities inside the womb with a lot of kicks, flip overs, stretches, yawns, toe or finger sucking, hiccups and different kind of mimics. We want to represent these movements with humorous approach to give smile to our audience. Beside above project we expect the student create graphic material for our different online campaigns , withdraws and partnership announcements. Required Qualifications: Student of Media, Design and Digital Art with video editing experience Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, photography, 3D imaging and video editing Experience of creative design, 3D graphic and character development Strong knowledge of Adobe collections, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, in addition to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Self motivated and able to work on multiple projects Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong creative and visual graphic skills.
