We work with individuals or teams (typically doing a capstone)

We provide a Virtual work environment using Agile (using JIRA), Discord, AWS, ReTool, React Native, Postgres to name some of our tools.

OPT Student Internship Recruitment Process Development

Local Grown Salads aims to enhance its internship program by effectively recruiting F-1 OPT students, who are international students in the United States eligible for internships. The project involves creating a streamlined process to identify and engage these students, encouraging them to apply for internships with the company. The goal is to develop a comprehensive strategy that includes identifying potential sources of candidates, crafting compelling outreach materials, and establishing a communication plan to connect with students. This project will allow learners to apply their knowledge of marketing, communication, and process development to create a practical solution for the company. The tasks will focus on researching effective recruitment channels, designing outreach campaigns, and developing a step-by-step guide for implementation.

Number of positions available: One or more teams with one or more students We are creating an Indoor Vertical Farming system, and are working on creating a full seed to plate infrastructure. We have 13 different subsystems: Network - Manages the entire Farm Network Assembly - An ERP system (extending Odoo) to manage the manufacturing Agronomist - Maintains our grow formulas and marketing materials Grower - A full analysis system to review all the farms AI - (Not currently available) Uses the data in Grower to create new grow formulas Gardner - Manages the hardware for the Vertical Acre according to the grow formula specifications Pavilion - Manages the HVAC system according to the grow formula specifications Germinator - Manages the hardware for the Incubator Barn - Manages the farm Farmer - An ERP system (extending Odoo) to manage the farm Inspector - Monitors the equipment and production Director - Provides an API to mobile applications and 3rd party software Customer Layer - Mobile/Web applications Distributor - applications for the distributor customers Consumer App = This app is intended to interact with a consumer of our products. Retailer App - For the retailer Food Server App - For the Restaurant The students will a) Work with our Marketing Team to develop and test a UX b) Work with our Data Architect to capture the relevant user data and store it in our DB c) Write the App code to implement the App specification. d) Be responsible for fixing any bugs. e) Ensure the App meets all technical requirements of the Android and Apple app stores.
