Building Black Youth Foundation's Fundraising/Grant Writing Project

Building Black Youth Foundation(B.B.Y.F.) Fundraising Project Team size: 5-10 students, or flexible Project time length: (Tentatively)Feb 14- March 31, 2022 will accept applications after the 14th of Feb. Project Type: Honorarium $1400 Project weekly schedule : TBD- Students are required to attend One 40 min mandatory weekly meeting. Meeting hours are between 3:30pm-6:30pm EST/1:30pm-4:30pm MT/12:30pm-3:30pm PDT . Dates TBD Project daily schedule: Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday 1:00pm-8:00pm EST/12:00pm-6:00pm MT/10:00am-5:00pm PDT. Students must be ready, willing and able to participate in project work, communications and meetings during those hours. Our scheduling is flexible and allows for students to complete their work on weekends as well if need be. Project Roles: Students must be able to fill 1 or more roles Fundraising/Donation Procurement Coordinator Fundraising Campaign Management/Development Grant Writer/Proposal Writer Scope : We are looking for a group of students to help implement fundraising tasks, donation procurement, Grant Writing and fundraising campaign development & management, within the following initiatives: Fundraising implementation tasks to raise money. Securing donations from individuals, organizations/businesses, sponsors, investors, etc. Grant writing & procurement. Completing applications for funding opportunities. Fundraising campaign management and development to increase outreach Fundraising marketing strategies and implementation including drafting elevator pitches, creating pitch presentations & presenting them. Fundraising/donation communication tasks including outreach to individuals, organizations/businesses to secure donations. Researching sponsor, funding and partnership opportunities. Drafting guidelines for resolving inquiries developing strategies to improve outreach capabilities. Lead generation SKILLS : communication, problem-solving, teamwork, fundraising, grant writing, marketing, lead generation, research Project Goals/Deliverables: Securing donations from individuals, organizations/businesses, sponsors & or investors Writing Grants & completing funding applications Fundraising campaign development & management Any other deliverables will be decided and agreed upon with students. Team Organization Team of up to 5, or as many students as possible, with each person assigned to agreed upon deliverables based on skills and experience. The team will have a Project Manager who will interact with the BBYF’s Project Manager.
