Tapfuma is a trade and investment executive dedicated to increasing the connectivity between African markets and other regions of the world. Having grown up a Canadian citizen, his passion led him to spend most of his working life across Africa (mainly South Africa and Ghana) where he engaged in community development, business development, management consulting and entrepreneurship. He is now based in Toronto, Canada where he founded Eschaton Solutions Ltd. – a boutique firm that promotes sustainable trade and investment with African markets – and Afrifursa – an initiative that seeks to shift the narrative around Africa in the Diaspora. He is currently a Managing Director at private equity firm Raygan Mills, which originates from a 3-generation old family office with roots in Cameroon. Tapfuma plays a strategic advisory role to several firms and enjoys empowering others to succeed.

Afri Future Tech Summit Fundraising Project

The main goal for the project is to secure grant funding and sponsorship for the Afri Future Tech Summit. This will involve several different steps for the team, including: - Researching potential grant opportunities and sponsorship programs. - Developing a compelling proposal outlining the summit's objectives, expected outcomes, and impact. - Identifying key stakeholders and potential sponsors to approach. - Creating a detailed budget and financial plan for the summit. - Crafting a strategic outreach and communication plan to engage potential funders and sponsors.

Post-Event Analysis and Report Development

This year we had our first in person event in Toronto, Canada and sucessfully drew over 150 people. We're an organization that is focused on bringing together diverse stakeholders for equitable exchange; we’re building shared value between Canadian and African stakeholders to achieve a more just and sustainable future. The main goal for this project is to setup successful Afri Future Tech Summit. This is our flagship event which happens in-person in Toronto, Canada. Over the past 3 years our event has drawn over 1000 attendees from over 40 countries; for our next summit we will be hosting a hybrid experience at hte University of Toronto's Schwartz Reisman Innovation Campus. We're an organization that is focused on bringing together diverse stakeholders for equitable exchange; we’re building shared value between Canadian and African stakeholders to achieve a more just and sustainable future.
