Are you a driven individual passionate about sales, lead generation, and building relationships? Do you want to gain hands-on experience working with cutting-edge tools in a dynamic and supportive environment?


Classlete (the fusion of "Class" and "Athlete") is an innovative online platform designed for Canadian and U.S. high school student-athletes who strive to balance academics, sports, and social life.


We partner with youth sporting organizations and schools to provide custom Sports Card/Poster designs (both digital and printed) equipped with QR codes. This program offers a revolutionary revenue-sharing, branding, and fundraising opportunity, helping organizations lift their visibility while showcasing their athletes.

Goals:


Our company is looking to execute on our sales process. We are hoping to find students that are not afraid to get on the phone, speak to US and CDN youth sport organizations and private schools to book appointments with Athletic Directors and related executive or marketing stakeholders.  These are the main activities for this project.


Position: Business Development / Prospecting Intern

Location: Remote

Duration: 1-4 Months (with potential for extension)

Start Date: ASAP


Main Responsibilities:

  • Setup and Optimization: Work directly with the team to configure and optimize Apollo.io (or similar outreach tool), our lead creation and outreach automation tool, to drive new intro call bookings with U.S.-based sporting organizations and private schools.
  • Outreach Execution: Use Apollo.io to manage and execute email sequences, LinkedIn outreach, text messaging, and phone calls aimed at booking appointments with Athletic Directors and other key decision-makers.
  • Calendar Management: Book meetings and maintain a well-organized calendar of appointments.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong interest in sales, marketing, and prospecting.
  • Not afraid to pick up the phone to book appointments.
  • Familiarity with tools like Apollo.io or similar CRM/outreach platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities (this is basically a retelling of the steps above):

  • Identifying new potential accounts that align with our current customer base from a list or from Apollo.io software.
  • Cold call and book appointments for our management team through a provided calendar link to coordinate schedules.
  • Overcome obstacles by using our script to rebuttal objections
  • Send marketing materials to reinforce our potential value to their organization.


Bonus steps would include:

  • Create additional marketing materials (i.e. brochures or sales web pages).


Final deliverables should include:

  • The final project deliverable would include several booked appointments with our target audience, a refined sales process and 1-2 additional marketing materials.
