Positions available: Up to 4

We are looking to bring on a 2 Grant Writing Interns to assist us with completing our proposals.

Based on our goals, we are looking for the student to work on the following:

  • Help write grant applications
  • Ensure we meet the grant's requirements
  • Create any other documents required
  • Grant research: Research companies/organizations that have previously provided grants/donations to organizations in our space
  • Write up grant drafts, and RFPs (Requests for proposals)
  • Respond to funder’s questions about the grant proposal and develop relationships with prospective donors

We are looking for 2 students to help us develop a fundraising plan which involves researching opportunities, brainstorming ideas and developing a plan.

The project will include, but may not be limited to:

- Finding various online donation platforms and donor management programs that we can tap into to source funding for our program

- Working with us to brainstorm ideas on how to raise funds more proactively and efficiently

- Developing a plan and content for our donors, in the form of a donor stewardship calendar that will propel relationship-building and communications that will take place after the donor's gift has been received

Mentorship

We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of: (1) our company's strategic objectives and (2) his/her responsibilities and involvement in different projects. In addition, the expected outcomes will be clearly stated. The student will have a company representative to work with, who will monitor the student's activity and performance. The representative will provide guidance and constructive feedback to the student. Periodic formal meetings will be set up with the student.
