Scope: We are looking for Students that can help create and develop our organization programs,the theoretical concepts, principles, values, and ethics taught through our cultural education learning opportunities. Students would also help us with grant Writing Services and procurement as well, for programs that assist children and youth (virtually) through Cultural based learning opportunities and supports. within the following initiatives:
- Assisting our organization in program development, includes information on cultural/historical knowledge procurement. (e.g., specific resources, programs strategies, educational materials specific to our organization).
- Grant writing services, assisting with funding initiatives. Supporting our organization in cultural based the theoretical concepts, principles, values, and ethics developments and benefits of programming
SKILLS: Social Sciences, Communications, Education, Humanities, Business strategy,
Project Goals/Deliverables:
- Final Deliverables will be agreed upon with students.
Team Organization
Team of up to as many students as possible, with each person assigned to each deliverable agreed upon. The team will have a Project Manager who will interact with the BBYF’s Project Manager.

Communication
We will plan to communicate with our virtual interns using these communication tools: Riipen messaging, ZOOM, Email, phone/text, etc.

Mentorship and Supervision
Students will be supervised during their internship through Zoom and other online work sharing platforms, specifically during working hours. Students will be guided and mentored by our senior project manager along with our student Project Manager as well. They will have access to our Senior project manager Tasha, any time needed during business hours by phone/email and after business hours through email. Students will also have the option of connecting with their student project manager for support during the duration of the internship.
About the company
The Building Black Youth Foundation (B.B.Y.F.), is a not for profit children's organization and social enterprise, geared to providing children cultural based learning opportunities and educational support for Black/BIPOC(but not limited to) children/youth and families across Canada. B.B.Y.F. is starting with virtual Early Childhood Development programs, supports for families and learning opportunities specifically geared towards teaching an afrocentric uplifting curriculum, building self worth through learning ancestral and historical knowledge. Our mission at Building Black Youth Foundation(B.B.Y.F.), is to empower our Black/BIPOC(but not limited to) children/youth, help them build their self worth and self belief, through learning uplifting historical, cultural knowledge. We know that positive cultural reinforcement from a young age, greatly increases the process of building self worth within children, as well as supports leading them in the right direction towards a great future.
