Grey-Box is a social innovation startup dedicated to addressing global challenges through technology. Our latest initiative, Project Codex, leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) to translate medical databases into multiple languages and regions, facilitating international operations. Accessible via a mobile site or tools like WhatsApp and Telegram, Project Codex aims to streamline the coordination of medical equipment between countries and rapidly translate medical terms, considering local variations such as brands and generics. By improving communication and standardization, Project Codex addresses a critical need in global healthcare. This problem is exacerbated during emergencies, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, where quick and accurate medical information exchange is crucial. Project Codex aims to solve this by developing a comprehensive, AI-driven medical terminology database that provides accurate translations and localizations in real time.

Volunteers will be responsible for delivering the following artifacts by the end of the two-semester sequence: -Improved Search Suggestion Tool: Enhance the tool for better accuracy and efficiency. -Chatbot Integrations: Improve Telegram's chatbot integration and add support for WhatsApp and Signal. -Database Scraping Tool: Enhance the tool for better data extraction from pharmaceutical databases. -Export Features: Add functionality to export data to Excel, Sheets, and CSV for offline access. -UX/UI Improvements: Improve the web interface to make it more user-friendly for field workers.
