Founded in 1975 as East Kootenay Community College and officially becoming College of the Rockies in 1995, we have proudly served the Kootenay region for nearly five decades. With a student body of approximately 9,600 and over 800 dedicated employees, our main campus in Cranbrook, alongside our regional campuses in Creston, Fernie, Golden, Invermere, and Kimberley, ensures accessible education across southeastern British Columbia.

Learners will have a grasp of the interactions between the atmosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere. They will be equipped to apply this knowledge to analyze environmental patterns, assess natural resource distribution, and evaluate ecological impacts. This understanding can be directly applied to projects that require environmental assessments, resource management strategies, or sustainability evaluations.
