Students from UoGuelph are seeking to collaborate with industry partners located in Canada and internationally, to establish 40-hour, unpaid internships.

Flexible Internship in Agri-Food is an innovative program, which is comprised of an upper-year university credit course designed to teach job relevant skills and an internship with a host organization.

Project Examples

Requirements

The nature and scope of the projects can vary. The intent is for students to be able to fulfill their learning goals and the work is related to agri-food directly or indirectly.

In the past students have worked in a variety of roles, including, but not limited to:

  • Account review with banks and financial institutions, specializing in agriculture
  • Research projects with provincial government
  • Policy review with federal government
  • Environmental impact assessment of mines on agricultural land in Peru
  • HACCP program review with food manufacturers

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
