Welcome to Assiniboine Community College's Advanced Software Applications course! Our institution prides itself on fostering innovative partnerships between industry and education, providing students with real-world experiences to enhance their skills and knowledge.


Prepping data for analysis by cleaning data using Excel or Power Query Editor. Analyzing data in Excel using PivotTables and various functions. Creating dashboards in Excel for analysis purposes. Use PowerBI desktop to create reports. Students are in a two-year diploma program with specializations in Accounting or Human Resources.


Steps for Matching:

  1. Match Request Submission: Business owners, submit your project match requests! Upon submission, the professor will engage in a personalized discussion with you, ensuring the project's alignment with course objectives.
  2. Pre-Approval: Upon mutual agreement, both parties will confirm the match on the Riipen platform. It's important to note that projects are pre-approved at this stage, awaiting student selection.
  3. Educator and Students Choosing: Projects will be available for student selection. Our students, specializing in Accounting or Human Resources, will choose projects aligning with their interests and career aspirations.
  4. Collaboration Starts: Communication thrives on the Riipen platform, fostering an environment where educators, employers, and learners come together seamlessly.
