This date marks the beginning of a collaborative journey where students and businesses come together to tackle real-world challenges, bridging the gap between classroom learning and professional application. Participants are encouraged to be prepared, proactive, and punctual to meetings to ensure that the project gets off to a smooth start.
The goal of this meeting is to provide an opportunity for all participants to collaboratively define the parameters, objectives, and deliverables for a project. Through this meeting, participants will gain clarity on project goals, roles, responsibilities, timelines, and any constraints or limitations.
The agenda for this meeting should include the following:
Introductions: A brief round of introductions for all participants to get to know each other.
Project Overview: A summary of the project, including its background and its importance.
Objective Clarification: A deep dive into what the project aims to achieve and the specific problems it aims to solve.
Deliverables: Outlining the expected outcomes, reports, and other deliverables.
Timeline and Milestones: Establishing a clear timeline, including start and end dates, along with critical milestones.
Constraints & Limitations: Identifying any potential roadblocks or challenges and discussing ways to address them.

Bring on students from Gannon University Dahlkemper School of Business to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one main project over the course of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.
Students in this program/course examine the technologies, information, and analytics critical for effective management and control of modern firms. This course focuses on dynamic decision-making and optimization approaches for complex decisions and strategies for data-driven decision-making. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the data analytics process and the skills necessary to translate business problems into actionable proposals that strengthen an organization’s competitive position in the marketplace.
Learners
Deliverables are negotiable, and will seek to align the needs of the students and the organization.
Some final project deliverables might include:
- A 10-15 minute presentation on key findings and recommendations
- A detailed report including their research, analysis, insights and recommendations

Project activities that students can complete may include, but are not limited to:
