Students are available for 4-weeks (160 hours) in 2022.

SAIT's AIM Students can help your small or large business through:

  • communication and information exchange,
  • document management,
  • project management,
  • event planning,
  • online research,
  • database creation and entries,
  • data presentations,
  • managing email,
  • social media content creation and maintenance,
  • scheduling,
  • travel research,
  • bookkeeping.

Given the uncertainty of COVID-19 in 2022, placements can either occur virtually, or in-person if federal and provincial regulations allow.

This is a 4-week, for-credit, unpaid practicum.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

AIM students should complete 4-weeks (160 hours) with your organization by the end 2022.

Students can complete a range of work for you, as outlined in the above section. Most commonly, AIM students have helped to organize company resources and documents; manage calendars; organize meetings and events; do research; create and manage content.

Students will complete predetermined projects in the predetermined time-frame given by the company. The exact nature and scope of the projects will depend on your company’s individual needs.

Students and their supervisor will meet at the onset of the internship for on-boarding. Weekly performance reviews will be conducted. At the end of the internship the supervisor and the student(s) will have a final written performance review with an assigned grade. The weekly and final written performance reviews will be submitted by the company supervisor to the AIM Practicum Coordinator.
