Event ideas:
- Organize a “town hall” style event to discuss a community issue or initiative of the community partner
- Organize a celebration (a retirement, a cultural or seasonal celebration etc)
- Organize a block party (sharing food, recreational activities, building relationships)
- A community mobilization project (e.g. clean up and paint a community space)
- Educational event (e.g. Mums and Tots literacy event, cultural competency etc.)

OR work with a team to develop an asset map
- Work with young parents? the student team could research and organize information about access to programming to support parenting skills
- Work with newcomer populations? The student team could research or organize assets in the community that help address social isolation for newcomers
- Work with vulnerable populations? The student team could research and gather information about their issues and implications for social work practice/policies.

Additional company criteria
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
Be willing to host a visit at your site from the team as part of the collaboration
Projects are tied to a student’s overall course mark and must be completed within a 2.5-month time period and must be managed around varying student schedules.
Attend on-campus meetings/ or virtual meetings (based on COVID-19 restrictions)
Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.
Ensure timely transfer of information and firm commitment to scheduled meetings to support project success.
Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.
