Project Examples

Requirements

Groups of upper-year undergraduates in mathematics, computer science, or physics can simulate a mathematical model of your choice consisting of ordinary differential equations.

Project Examples can include mathematical models for:

  • Fuel cell research
  • Natural Resources
  • Animations and graphics
  • Aerospace
  • Biotechnology
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Mining and oil extraction

Benefits to your organization includes time saved in running experiments and simulations as well as receiving first-hand student expertise. Your goal may be to improve the efficiency of your simulation, use it in optimization or design, or simply to have a simulation at all.
