Details

We are looking for engineering students to help us analyze the performance of some of our products. Examples are as follow:

  1. Mechanical analyses of thermowells installed in piping and vessels.
  2. Mechanical analyses of injection/sampling quills installed in piping and vessels.
  • Types of mechanical analyses to consider:
    • Stress analyses (static and dynamic)
    • Vibration analyses
    • Fluid dynamics analyses (vortex shedding)
    • Heat transfer analyses
    • Materials analyses (corrosion and erosion)

Exploring standard, novel, and new solutions to these challenging applications and having these analyses of thermowells/quills would be useful to deal with non-standard design conditions that are outside of the “ASME PTC 19.3 TW-2016 - Thermowells – Performance Test Codes – Standard” limitations.
