The main goal for the project is to help Ferntree Equipment & Distribution reduce shipping costs, become more cost-effective, and streamline different operations of the company, including P.O., Canadian broker fees, freight, and warehouse holding costs. Additionally, the project aims to help create an inventory database in Excel for tracking and set up a fulfillment process for the company's ecommerce site.

Analyze Current Shipping Costs:

• Review and analyze existing shipping processes and costs.
• Identify inefficiencies and areas for potential cost savings.

Develop Cost-Effective Strategies:

• Research and propose strategies to reduce shipping costs.
• Evaluate different shipping providers and negotiate better rates if necessary.

Streamline Operations:

• Assess the current processes for purchase orders, Canadian broker fees, and freight.
• Design and implement streamlined workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Generate Quick Cost Estimates:

• Develop a system to quickly estimate costs, including warehouse holding costs.
• Create tools or templates in Excel for rapid cost calculations.

Create an Inventory Database:

• Design and set up an inventory database in Excel.
• Implement tracking mechanisms for inventory management.
• Ensure the database includes relevant fields such as item details, quantities, locations, and dates.

Set Up Fulfillment Process for Ecommerce Site:

• Analyze the current fulfillment process for the ecommerce site.
• Develop a comprehensive fulfillment plan that includes order processing, packaging, shipping, and tracking.
• Implement and test the new fulfillment process to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Documentation and Training:

• Document all new processes and systems.
