The primary goal is to improve search engine optimization (SEO), streamline user navigation, and boost engagement and conversion rates. Students will apply their classroom knowledge of digital marketing and web analytics to identify areas of improvement. The project involves analyzing current website performance, identifying SEO weaknesses, and evaluating user interface design. By focusing on these areas, the project aims to provide actionable insights that can lead to a more effective and user-friendly website. The audit will be conducted using industry-standard tools and techniques, ensuring that the recommendations are both practical and impactful.
By the end of the placement, the student will produce:
- A comprehensive audit report outlining current website SEO and UX performance.
- A strategic recommendation document including:
- A prioritized list of suggested improvements with rationale and potential impact.
- Visual aids (e.g., wireframes, navigation flow diagrams) where applicable.
- Suggested tools or platforms for implementation.
- A presentation summarizing findings and recommendations for internal stakeholders.
Measurable Outcomes:
- Completion of at least one SEO audit tool report (e.g., from SEMrush, Ahrefs, or free tools like Google Search Console).
- Identification of a minimum of 10 actionable SEO improvements.
- Identification of at least 5 specific changes to improve user navigation and experience.
- A final report and presentation delivered by the agreed deadline.
Providing specialized knowledge in the project subject area, with industry context.
Direct involvement in project tasks, offering guidance, and demonstrating techniques.
Providing access to necessary tools, software, and resources required for project completion.
Scheduled check-ins to discuss progress, address challenges, and provide feedback.
