-
September 18, 2025Phase 1: Decide on the project
Students identify a problem and a client (if not assigned), and create draft designs and a prototype (this is to get them used to working together).

-
October 9, 2025Phase 2: Needs analysis and Requirements
Student groups work on identifying system requirements by interviewing and observing people using existing technologies (competition or prior versions of software), and engaging in contextual inquiry and analysis. The outcome is a list of interaction design requirements and design-informed models.

-
November 11, 2025Phase 3: Design
Students work on designing system screens and interactions at different levels of fidelity. The end products are storyboards and wireframes.

-
December 4, 2025Phase 4: Prototype & Evaluation
Students work on prototyping their best design, identifying objectives for testing (UX targets), and evaluating their prototype with real users (usability test).
